For Hewlett-Packard plans to give up window 7 Tablet PC

SAN FRANCISCO April 30, HP has abandoned its once large-scale promotion of window 7 Tablet PC program.

Window 7 Tablet PC by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer first year's CES conference in January proposed, is expected to come out this year. Because of dissatisfaction with the Tablet PC operating system Windows 7's performance, HP has now terminated the project.

HP may also consider giving up due to excessive power consumption of its tablet PC products with Intel (blog) hardware, and may cancel windows 7 operating system pre-installed. After the recent acquisition of Palm Inc., HP is likely to vigorously promote the Palm WebOs system, and the first trial of its tablet computer.

WebOS can become a successful Tablet PC operating system, will depend on the Apple operating system dominate the market situation can be broken, and Google's Andiod Chroming operating system platforms and can be successful. To arouse the enthusiasm of WebOS third-party developers, HP Tablet PC sales must be guaranteed. Although good at manufacturing and sales of HP hardware products, but the operating system is not its strong suit.
